Melissa obtained her certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and studied at The Institute of Culinary Education in Manhattan.

I hired Melissa to help my daughter learn to prepare her own meals (having door dash and grub hub on a revolving door to her apartment was getting ridiculous). My daughter didn't want to learn from me and this is where Melissa stepped in to break it all down into easy steps and give her the confidence she needed to learn how to plan and prepare meals on her own. She now comes home and cooks amazing dinners for us! Not only did she gain culinary skills, she also learned to use healthy ingredients, balance her meals, repurpose leftovers, plan soups and salads ahead for lunches, and find inspiration online. Melissa is smart, fun and engaging; from the moment you meet her, you want to be her friend. She is chock full of information and encourages questions, so everyone in her workshop felt comfortable asking her anything. Little did I know that the lunch Melissa prepared would be so delicious, innovative, and filling! We each made wraps using greens and sprouted seed spreads, sampled her rich West African Peanut Soup, raved about the coconut "bacon bits," and moaned over the raw chocolate desserts. She also shared celebrity food and nutrition bloggers to follow for health trends but, while I love FoodBabe and Oh She Glows, my favorite wellness educator is Melissa Halpern!
